Dog cafes in Bangalore: You’ve heard of these cool pet cafes in Bangalore. Looking at the types of cafes out here, these are relatively new. However, one thing’s for sure: this new business here is going really well! Pet cafes or dog cafes in Bangalore, either way, are trending. My complete Bangalore travel guide list is out, read it here!
Anyway, before we talk about the pet cafes here in Bangalore, let’s find out what a dog cafe is.
Dog Cafes in Bangalore – What is a dog cafe?
A dog cafe (or a pet’s cafe) is an animal cafe where a customer can play with the animals (in this case – dogs) in the cafe. In some cafes, you can bring your dog along to play with. By far, I think it’s one of the friendliest types of cafes ever made. Who wouldn’t love to spend their waiting time playing with cute friendly dogs?
Being a dog lover without being able to ever own one, I think it’s an amazing idea for a restaurant. I’m sure there are a lot of people out there like me who love dogs and still can’t keep one at home. So for such, a dog cafe can be a true paradise.
Some dog cafes maintain very healthy and not mention, expensive dogs. German Shepherds, Husky, Poodle, Pug, Pomeranian- you name it! They’ve got them all!
Dog Cafes in Bangalore – Pricing
I don’t know about the other cities out there, but this is how it usually works in Bangalore: To play with the dogs, you’ll need to pay to play with them. When I went to Snoopy Paws Cafe, they charged 100 rupees on weekdays and 150 rupees on weekends to play with them.
However, if I were you, I would buy some food there. Because having an order placed, you can spend your time with the dogs while waiting for your order. So when I and my friend went to one of these cafes, we order a pasta salad or something which would relatively take a longer time to prepare.
The longer time it takes to prepare, the longer we play with the cuties out there. Smart, aren’t we? Anyway, about the food- since it’s a dog cafe, the food is expensive, but it’s worth it. A usual sandwich starts at around 100 rupees. Say no one comes to play with their dogs, someone’s got to pay for the poor creatures’ maintenance.
But hey, that’s my thought about it!
Top 15 Pet Cafes in Bangalore
Let’s cut to the chase now, shall we? Bangalore is expensive for travel unless you’re going everywhere on a bicycle like me these days. Pet cafes are also part of the expensive deal. However, not many places even offer this which makes it sweet to visit once in a blue moon. Here are the dog cafes that I found worth visiting in Bangalore.
However, not all of these cafes own dogs. Yet they are dog-friendly. Places that will definitely let your dog enjoy and serve your dog as well.
1. Therpup Cafe
This turns out to be the most popular Dog Cafe in Bangalore. I have to say, I really like the sound of the place. They have 13 dogs in total, some of them being Labrador, Retriever, and Husky. Apart from their dogs, you can bring your own dog too.
What more can one expect? As it turns out, that isn’t just it! They also have a dog pool that’s set up on weekends. Now, isn’t that lovely?
Located at: Abhayadhama Rd, White Rose Layout, Whitefield, Bangalore
2. Snoopy Paws Cafe
This is one of the most peaceful dog cafes on this list with the cafe laid across a huge area. Yet, the place seems to have a cozy touch to it. The food is pretty delicious and homely too. And the dogs?
They’ve got two huskies, a labrador, pug(s), and even a poodle. The poodle’s the cutest as it always keeps running around in circles and never really comes to anyone in particular- yep, it was pretty hilarious. I went on my first date with my partner here and it turned out sweet!
We spent the entire evening there. I enjoyed it so much that I wrote another blog on Snoopy Paws.
Located at: Survey no. 4/2 and 4/4, Yarappanahalli main road, Hennur Main Rd, Kannur, Bangalore
3. Rasta Cafe
A place to chill out a little or take a small vacation – this should be it. It turns out to be a pretty peaceful place where you can bring your beloved pet along to spend a soothing night under the stars. Spoiler alert: It’s an outdoor cafe!
Oh, and another thing, this place is really great at night- typically for 18+ age groups.
Located at: Bangalore Mysore Highway, South Bangalore
4. Toit
I wouldn’t call Toit a cafe. Not even close actually. It’s a brewpub. In fact, it’s known to be one of the busiest brew-pubs in Bangalore. And the other fact that the place is animal-friendly spikes it up even more.
On the other hand, apart from being known for being a dog-friendly place, it is also popular for its delicious food and outdoor seating area which makes the experience with your pet all the more enjoyable.
Located at: 298, 100 Feet Rd, Near KFC Restaurant, Indira Nagar II Stage, Stage 1, Indiranagar, Bangalore
Here’s another article on cafes:
5. Green Theory
As the name ‘Green Theory’ speaks out for itself, the little cafe here is surrounded by greenery all around. When your doggy wants a little air as you do, this spot would be perfect.
While you enjoy your delicious vegetarian delicacies from the menu, your pet can bask in all the attention from the dog-lovers around and the cafe members themselves too! Now that would definitely serve as a fresh breath for your little companion, wouldn’t it?

6. Maia Restaurant
This one’s a little unique and interesting with their menu recipes. All the recipes are collected from mothers all over and it’s vegetarian. And yes, this place is open for doggies too.
They even have a small playground area for little puppies to play in. Though this isn’t the main feature of the Maia restaurant as it mainly focuses on its delicacies, it’s an available feature alright.
Speaking of delicacies and mothers, the restaurant also has a very specific theme that plays its part- mostly comfortable coaches with long tables.
Located at: Siri Pristine, Off, Marathahalli – Sarjapur Outer Ring Rd, Green Glen Layout, Bellandur, Bangalore
7. Urban Solace
A little about Urban Solace: They’ve got open seating, live music, pet-friendly area. What else would you want? There’s really nothing to exaggerate about here is there? They’ve got everything required for fine quality time that you need with your pet.
Anyway, excitement aside, they also serve alcohol (visible on the photo, ain’t it?) and WiFi is available alright.
Located at: 32, Annaswamy Mudaliar Road, Opposite Lake, Ulsoor, Bangalore
8. Yogisthan Cafe
Apart from being spacious and a pet-loving area, it is also considered to be one of the best vegetarian restaurants in Bangalore. The spacious area with green surroundings gets a homely vibe to the spot, and for your beloved pet too. Now, want to spend a lazy day enjoying your meal for a long, long time with a couple of drinks peacefully along with your dog?
Then this is perfect for you!
Located at: 89, Near BDA Complex, 11th Cross, 60 Feet Road, Off Double Road, Indiranagar, Bangalore
9. Mighty Paws
The cute little name given to this cafe itself makes it all the more alluring, doesn’t it? Well, the cafe really is sweet on the inside as well. Believe it or not, the cozy-vibed, two-floored cafe offers food at considerably reasonable rates.
On an estimate, one can end up spending around 500 bucks for two. If that’s not a reasonable price for a date, then I don’t know what is. Looking at the lighter end, the theme of the cafe is to help get your pawed friend a friendly vibe.
Located at: 533, 2nd Main, KPCL Layout, Kasavanahalli, Kasavanahalli, Bangalore
10. Ella’s PetScape Cafe
Ella’s PetScape Cafe offers what a typical cafe would offer: Fast-food and pizzas. All these places I mentioned are pet-friendly anyway, so what’s special?
Here it is: I think it’s a dream come true for a dog owner and even more for the doggie! It’s more of a spa and a cafe for the cute paws here. Yep, I said spa. They literally have services like bath, grooming, brushing, fur, and nail trimming all for your dog.
They also have a pet store attached to it where one can get dog accessories, bowls, and so on.
Located at: 2nd Main Road, Kasavanahalli, Sarjapur Road, Sarjapur Road, Bangalore
11. Teal Door Cafe
Comparing the variety of cuisines available on the other cafes on this list, Teal Door Cafe has the widest range of cuisines available. Along with our ever-loved Masala Dosas and Idlis, the Western essence of sandwiches, nachos, cheesecakes, and pancakes are also available.
Sure, it’s got great interiors- but all the love and success it’s got is out of its delicacies and of course- for being a pet-friendly environment.
Located at: 618, 2nd Main Road, Binnamangala, Hoysala Nagar, Indiranagar, Bangalore
12. Nossa Goa
Nah, don’t worry. I’m not that stupid to bring up a cafe that’s not in Bangalore out of nowhere. Well, however, this cafe is a Goan restaurant as the name suggests. And yes, this place is pet-friendly too.
While the space on the ground floor is for your doggie to munch away on dog food and cakes, you can go up to enjoy some great Goan delicacies- something that the place is meant for. Some of the delicacies that are on the highlights here are Roast Chicken and Pork Sorpotel.
Located at: 38, Castle St, Richmond Town, Bangalore
13. Yellow Submarine
This is Yellow Submarine being one of the places for live music as well, the very same one! Live music, great food (not to mention its brewed beer), and of course, being pet-friendly.
In fact, this peaceful and comfy outdoor setting offers some delicacy specialties for your pet as well. They have got a smoking zone for the place too- just in case.
Anyways, apart from the food choice for your dogs, your pet can also socialize with the others of its kind while you can munch on some of their specialties for you.
I haven’t tried it out on my own yet, but the Beatle-themed cafe with hints of yellow around has some really great prawns. Now for dinner for two here approximately would cost a thousand rupees.
Address: 4th Floor, SRK Towers, Bannerghatta Road, Bangalore
14. Art Of Delight
This is more of an ice cream parlor rather than a cafe… or a dessert bar. Why? Well, they take their ice creams seriously. Heavy works put into all of the delicacies is what I can say without a doubt! Anyway, it’s said that only the one by the Residency Road is pet-friendly. This can be sweet for a short meet-up and cost around 400 for two.
Address: Firdous Complex, Residency Road, Ashok Nagar, Bengaluru
15. Sunny’s
The name does sound pretty casual. However, the interesting story behind it is that it is actually named after the restaurant owner’s dog. This place comes a long way down from 20 years and is still on. Considering the huge, spacious, two-story bungalow that serves as the restaurant, you and your beloved snouted companion can definitely have some great cozy time here!
Oh, and of course- about the cuisine here- the menu doesn’t change and sticks (and boasts) about its European delicacies!
Address: 50, Opp. Loom, Lavelle Road, Ashok Nagar
Conclusion
To wrap it up right here, these would be all the pet cafes in Bangalore that are worth visiting for an animal-loving person. A dog-loving person to be specific.
